Adventurous Istanbul, Konya and Cappadocia!<\/h2>

We begin our adventure in vibrant Istanbul, exploring the city\u2019s iconic landmarks such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the bustling Grand Bazaar. We will be charmed by Istanbul\u2019s unique atmosphere.

Historic Konya is the heart of Sufi mysticism and wisdom. We immerse ourselves in Rumi\u2019s teachings, and we witness the whirling dervishes embarking on the soul\u2019s journey towards exalted unity. The Byzantine Church of Agia Eleni, the oldest of its kind in the region, is also on our visit list.

Magical Cappadocia is famed for its fairytale volcanic tuff formations, caves and underground cities. Here you can also enjoy extraordinary views of hot air ballon rides at sunrise.

During the Middle Ages, Cappadocia became an important centre for Christian faith and monasticism. Many of the unique frescoes and churches found here today bear witness to this rich cultural heritage. That\u2019s why we include a visit to the G\u00f6reme Open-Air Museum.

  • Day 1:<\/strong> We arrive at the hotel in Istanbul and celebrate with a welcome dinner at a charming rooftop restaurant with a breathtaking view of the mosques we will visit on day 2.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 2:<\/strong> Guided tour to the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia Mosque. Group lunch. We explore The Grand Bazaar, then cross the Galata Bridge and stroll along the busy pedestrian street Istiklal until we reach Taksim Square. After that, we hop on the tram, which takes us back to the starting point near the Galata Bridge. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 3:<\/strong> We visit the impressive \u00c7amlica Mosque on the Asian side. Next, we head to the charming area of Kad\u0131k\u00f6y and find a suitable place for lunch. There is time to explore Kad\u0131k\u00f6y until we return to the hotel by crossing the Bosphorus Stait by boat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 4:<\/strong> Early the next morning we hop on the train to Konya. Breakfast is served on the train. About 4.5 hours later we check in at a cozy family hotel in Konya. We explore the city centre. A guide is introducing many of the city\u2019s attractions. Shared dinner in the evening.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 5:<\/strong> After breakfast, we visit the Mevlana Museum and dive into Rumi's teachings. Rumi was, among other things, the founder of the \"Whirling Dervishes Society.\" Later in the day, we visit the Agia Eleni Byzantine church, one of the oldest Christian churches in the area. We end the day's program by attending a performance of whirling dervishes at the traditional Mevlana Cultural Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 6:<\/strong> We set off to Cappadocia, and visit volcanic tuff formations, caves, and underground cities. We dedicate a visit to the G\u00f6reme Open-Air Museum, and make a stop at Pigeon Valley with a beautiful view of the most dramatic part of Cappadocia. Finally, we check in at a modern 'cave hotel'.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 7:<\/strong> The next morning, we rise early to experience an unforgettable sunrise with hot air balloons. Afterwards, we return to the hotel for breakfast. Later in the day, we fly back to Istanbul from Konya. We spend the last afternoon in Istanbul as we wish before dinner in the evening. Recommonadtion: A visit to Basilica Cistern, located right by the Hagia Sophia Mosque, or a Turkish bath.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 8:<\/strong> After breakfast, we leave the hotel and make our way to the airport to return home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Eight days and seven nights<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    A direct flight takes us from Oslo Gardermoen to Istanbul. At the airport we are picked up and transported to our hotel. Many of the main attractions in Istanbul are within easy walking distance. Whenever needed we have bus transport at our disposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The journey spans eight days and seven nights. The three first nights, we stay in Istanbul, then two nights in Konya, one night in Cappadocia and finally a last night in Istanbul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We travel by train from Istanbul to Konya, minibus from Konya to Cappadocia and by air from Cappadocia to Istanbul.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
